Join our Skillsify digital marketing team as an SEO Intern and embark on a journey to learn and apply
key strategies for improving online visibility and driving organic traffic. This internship offers
hands-on experience in search engine optimization (SEO), including keyword research, on-page
optimization, link building, and performance analysis. As an SEO Intern, you’ll have the
opportunity to contribute to real projects, collaborate with experienced professionals, and gain
valuable skills in the rapidly evolving field of SEO.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting keyword research to identify target keywords and phrases with high search volume and relevance to client websites and content.
- Support the implementation of on-page SEO strategies, including optimizing meta tags, headings, and content for targeted keywords and user intent.
- Assist in optimizing website structure, navigation, and internal linking to improve crawlability and indexability for search engines.
- Aid in the analysis of website performance metrics, including organic traffic, rankings, and conversion rates, using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and third-party SEO software.
- Contribute to off-page SEO efforts by researching and identifying opportunities for link building, outreach, and partnerships to increase domain authority and referral traffic.
- Collaborate with content creators to develop SEO-friendly content strategies, including topic ideation, content optimization, and content promotion.
- Stay updated on industry trends, algorithm changes, and best practices in SEO, and share insights and recommendations with the team.
- Assist in preparing reports and presentations to communicate SEO performance, insights, and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Support ad-hoc tasks and projects related to digital marketing and SEO as assigned by the supervisor or team lead.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in Marketing, Communications, Business, Computer Science, or related field (or recent graduate).
- Strong interest in digital marketing, particularly in search engine optimization (SEO) and online visibility.
- Basic understanding of SEO principles, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and link building. Familiarity with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Moz, SEMrush, or similar platforms is a plus.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions to improve SEO performance.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting is desirable.
Duration:
- This is a 3 months internship position with the possibility of extension or conversion to a full-time role based on performance and business needs.
