Video Editor Intern

Join our Skillsify team as a Video Editor Intern and immerse yourself in the exciting world of digital
content creation. This internship offers hands-on experience in video editing, production, and
storytelling techniques, as well as the opportunity to collaborate with our creative team on a
variety of projects. As a Video Editor Intern, you’ll have the chance to enhance your skills, build
your portfolio, and contribute to impactful video content for our clients

Responsibilities:

Assist in editing and post-production tasks for a range of video projects, including promotional videos, social media content, tutorials, interviews, and more.
Work closely with the creative team to conceptualize video ideas, develop storyboards, and plan production schedules.
Edit raw footage to create polished, high-quality videos that align with project objectives and brand guidelines. Use video editing software (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) to assemble footage, add effects, transitions, graphics, and sound elements, and color correct videos.
Collaborate with team members to select appropriate music tracks, voiceovers, and sound effects to enhance the overall impact of videos.
Incorporate feedback from clients, team members, and stakeholders to refine video edits and ensure alignment with project requirements.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in video editing and production, and share insights with the team.
Assist with video shoots and production tasks as needed, including setting up equipment, lighting, and sound recording.
Organize and maintain video assets, project files, and other related materials in a structured and accessible manner.
Support ad-hoc tasks and projects related to video production and content creation as assigned by the supervisor or team lead.

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a degree program in Film Production, Digital Media, Communications, or related field (or recent graduate).
Strong passion for video editing, storytelling, and visual communication, with a desire to pursue a career in the field.
Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
Basic understanding of cinematography principles, video formats, aspect ratios, and video compression techniques.
Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail, composition, and visual aesthetics.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Portfolio showcasing previous video editing projects and creative work is highly desirable.
Familiarity with motion graphics, animation, and visual effects is a plus.
